Mid Level Software Quality Analyst

Job Description for Mid Level Software Quality Analyst:

- Work collaboratively with project team to define testing strategy and test cases for the ERP system.
- Execute the testing process for ERP modules, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Analyse the test requirements, define test coverage and design holistic test plan as necessary. 
- Mentor and guide junior testers in test case creation, execution, and reporting.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate the ERP system.
- Identify and document defects or issues, classify them, perform root cause analysis, and track issues to resolution.
- Create test reports, communicate test results and provide recommendations on product quality.
- Collaborate with development team, business analysis team and project managers to identify and resolve issues and ensure deliverables meet quality targets.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on functional requirements, technical specifications, and design.
- Create, update and keep the quality control checklist updated based on test performance feedbacks. 
- Define, monitor and track the quality control metrics performance and recommend plan of actions to project management team. 
- Staying up to date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and methodologies, and continuously improving the quality control process.
- Design plans and execute periodic quality audits, reviews and recommend control measures for findings. 
- Provide inputs and facilitate project management team on test performance monitoring. 

Requirements:

- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in software testing including at least one year on test planning. 
- Bachelor's degree in any IT related discipline. 
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, including manual and automated testing.
- Experience testing ERP software modules, including but not limited to finance, purchasing, inventory, and human resources.
- Familiarity with testing software such as JIRA, Selenium, or HP Quality Center.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills with an ability to assess complex problems.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Any software testing certifications like ISTQB shall be added advantage. 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
